The band started in mid 2001 under the name Bilocation, the founding members, Deathbringer (in Vocals and Bass), Galamoth (Guitar) and Talthec (Guitar), the style was undifined at that time, but this changed in mid 2002 when Deathbringer decided to do vocals only, Galamoth in the bass and Talthec on keyboards, determined to make Melodic Black Metal. Several members were part of the band, until they change the name to Vardogr, Andres Techera and Gonzalo Díaz take part on the band playing guitars in 2006 to 2008/2009.

This year Talthec decided to take a step aside to continue his career as a drawer, but he keep helping the band today as graphic artist.

Lordhyan joins as Guitarist in 2008, and later in 2009 Satyrian joins up on guitars. The style of the band remains essentially Melodic Black Metal, but with influences from many genres of metal as Death, Heavy, Power, Thrash, Brutal, etc. 2010 Fe(a)r left the band to fully dedicate himself to Deep Dream band and now Duergar (Mathias Rodriguez) is in charge of the drums, also joins his sister Hime (Ana) on Violin.

La banda comenzó a mediados del 2001 con el nombre Bilocation, los miembros fundadores, Deathbringer (en Voces y Bajo), Galamoth (Guitarras) y Talthec (Guitarras), el estilo en aquel entonces no era definido, esto fue cambiando, a mediados de 2002 cuando Deathbringer decide dedicarse solo a las vocales, Galamoth al bajo y Talthec al teclado, decididos a hacer Black Metal Melodico. Varios miembros formaron parte de la banda, hasta que se cambio el nombre a Vardogr, Andrés Techera y Gonzalo Díaz formaron parte de la banda como guitarristas en el año 2006 hasta 2008/2009.

Este año Talthec decide dar un paso al costado para seguir su carrera como dibujante, aunque ayuda a la banda hasta hoy en la parte gráfica.

Se une como Guitarrista Lordhyan y más tarde Satyrian en guitarras tambien. El estilo de la banda sigue siendo basicamente Black Metal Melodico, pero con influencias de muchos generos de metal como son el Death, Heavy, Power, Thrash, Brutal, etc.

FIXION is a rock band from Montevideo (Uruguay) formed in December, 2001 that played live for the first time in June, 2002. The band emerges as a personal project of Daniel (voice and guitar), who was a former member of bands like Traidores (Punk- Post Punk) among others. The music style of FIXION can be described as gothic metal, gothic rock and alternative rock.

In their first phase, FIXION edited their music in demo format and performed live in pubs, theaters and big stages in Montevideo and all around Uruguay with their first international show in Buenos Aires (Argentina).

During 2007 and 2008 the band started the production of their first studio album called “En la Oscuridad” (Into the Darkness) that was recorded in Uruguay and mixed and mastered in Buenos Aires. The CD was supported by IFONAM (National Foundation for Uruguayan Music) and was published for the label SONDOR. This album got very good reviews from the international media and was nominated for the Graffiti Awards in their country for best metal and hard rock album.

During 2010 FIXION was the opening act of international bands such as Sirenia, Lacrimosa and the 69 Eyes (the last two in Buenos Aires).

“En La Oscuridad” is an album with bright, full and corrosive guitars, confident voices, an omnipresent bass and a dense and dark atmosphere supported by keyboards and industrial sounds. Their lyrics describe different stages of human spirit.

FIXION es una banda de Rock originaria de Montevideo (Uruguay) formada en Diciembre de 2001 y estrenándose en vivo en Junio de 2002. Surge como un proyecto más personal dentro de la carrera de Daniel (guitarra y voz) cuyos antecedentes lo involucran con bandas como Traidores (Punk – Post-punk) entre otras. El estilo de FIXION puede catalogarse como Gothic Metal, Gothic Rock y Alternativo.

En sus comienzos FIXION editó su música en formato demo de forma independiente y en esa primera etapa la banda actuó abundantemente en Uruguay a nivel de pubs, teatros y grandes escenarios en Montevideo, el interior del país y una primera incursión a Buenos Aires (Argentina) en el Pub “Remember”.

Durante el 2007 y el 2008 la banda se embarcó en la producción de su primer disco de estudio llamado “En la oscuridad” el cual fue grabado en Uruguay y mezclado/masterizado en Buenos Aires. El disco contó con el apoyo del FONAM (Fondo Nacional de la Música del Uruguay) y fué publicado por el sello SONDOR. El álbum fué bien recibido por la prensa especializada destacándose el comentario del periodista y escritor Mick Mercer (Panache, NME, Record Mirror, Melody Maker, Music to die for, etc.) quien lo recomienda efusivamente. “En la oscuridad” fué nominado a “MEJOR DISCO DE METAL Y HARD ROCK” de Uruguay en los Premios Graffiti (los más importantes de la industria discográfica de Uruguay).

Durante el 2010 FIXION compartió escenario como acto apertura de tres grandes bandas del Gótico mundial como Sirenia, Lacrimosa y The 69 Eyes siendo dos de estos shows en Buenos Aires. Estas presentaciones recogieron buena crítica de prensa y apoyo del público.

Recientemente FIXION lanzó su tercer video-clip oficial “Contigo hasta la muerte” perteneciente a “En la oscuridad”.

“En La Oscuridad” es el primer álbum de estudio de FIXION. Guitarras corrrosivas, brillantes y llenas, voces confidentes, un bajo omnipresente y climas densos y oscuros aportados por teclados y sonidos industriales es lo que FIXION despliega a lo largo de casi 45 minutos de música en un disco que mantiene la tensión en todo momento. De ejecución potente y precisa y textos que describen distintos estados del espíritu humano.
